topshot (sofasandquills) introduced me to cats milly’s stuff and i absolutely fell in love. like. it’s just such good music and i loved it so much i made a playlist and listened to it while snowboarding. it’s so soothing and she has a very sexy voice, gosh :D
anyway i really like “the incredibly expensive one-of-a-kind crochet wool sweater song” and i just thought i’d draw a bit of art inspired by it??? IDK.. i just think the song is really cute and whatnot.

today’s warm up ended up taking me a bit too long ahhaa. this was inspired by the weird way rainbow dash was sitting. i had to pause the video and stare!
I love how they are fleshing out her character and giving her such a unique depth. She teaches kids that just because someone cares about being beautiful, popular, fashionable and other values people consider “petty,” that doesn’t make them a bad person. Not many cartoons take such a daring approach with a character, and I commend them for doing it.
^ this, and the fact that the show doesn’t necessarily teach kids that “being popular and wanting to be business-savvy and move up the social ladder” isn’t a bad thing. it’s real life! it’s okay, wanting to be up there with the big dogs (haha), while maintaining a down-to-earth attitude. she does it with class, and even if she isn’t as gushy and overbearing for the love of her friends like pinkie (and like me), she shows it in a different way. i have a couple of close friends who really resemble rarity in that sense — even if they don’t hug me and tell me they love me all the time, they show it through acts of selflessness and being extremely generous.
sorry for rambles i just have a lot of feelings about rarity because she is AWESOME!!!
